Background
The problem is that it is hard to find a trustworthy mechanic and to drop your car off when you are a busy person. Oftentimes mechanics either need the car during working hours, or you need to drop it off after hours or on the weekend and be car-less during inconvenient times.
Main Features:
This car care app takes care of all of those problems. Provide the app information about your car, the work you want done, your location, and availability. You will then receive a quote from a vetted, quality mechanic. When you accept, a driver comes and picks up the car for your and drops it off at the mechanic. Then, when the work is done, they bring it back to you. This is all done while you are busy with work, and makes everything super convenient.
It is like having a personal concierge take care of your important work, while you work.
For the POC, the information was collected and a person would do the work behind the scenes. This allowed the company to test out its business idea before committing to building a full and expensive platform. It also allowed everything to launch right away.
Future Vision:
After this POC, the next steps would be to build out more functionality until it eventually becomes a fully automated three-sided platform (users, mechanics, and drivers) where everything is handled automatically. Mechanics would be able to directly bid on work, provide their availability, and drivers would be paired up based on time and availability.
